National Workshop: “Getting Ready for the ASIIN Program Accreditation”

Tishk International University’s ISO and Accreditation Office proudly organized an informative workshop titled “Getting Ready for ASIIN Program Accreditation,” designed specifically for the IT and Computer Engineering departments. It was under the supervision of the vice president for academic affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir. The workshop was held on the 19th and 26th of November 2023. It aimed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the accreditation procedures aligned with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area.

The ISO and Accreditation director presented the following topics:

  • Roadmap to ASIIN Accreditation
  • PLOs (Program Learning Outcomes) – Courses Matrix
  • Student Workload Analysis
  • Dublin Descriptors – Courses Matrix
  • CLOs (Course Learning Outcomes) – Teaching/Assessment Methods

These topics cover essential aspects of preparing for ASIIN accreditation by focusing on curriculum alignment, learning outcomes, workload analysis, and adherence to European higher education standards. Furthermore, completion letters were distributed to all participants who attended the workshop.

The workshop served as a platform for in-depth training, enabling faculty and staff to gain valuable insights into the requirements and expectations of accreditation procedures. Participants were equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to ensure the quality and relevance of IT and Computer Engineering programs, aligning them with international standards.
