Informative Orientation Program for New Research Assistants

In an effort to promote a seamless integration of newly hired research assistants into the academic field. Tishk International University’s ISO and Accreditation Office organized a comprehensive orientation program under the supervision of the vice president for academic affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir. The program consisting of five informative sessions, took place on November 1, 2, 5, 6, and 26 in the Main Building / Seminar Hall.

The Orientation Program was opened by a brief speech made by the director of the ISO and Accreditation Office. The program aimed to equip the research assistants from various departments with valuable insights into their roles and responsibilities. The diverse topics covered were presented by esteemed professionals in their respective fields.

  1. “Activities-Related Roles of Research Assistants” by Ms. Laveen Kawa Rauf
  2. “Technical Procedure at the Labs” by Mr. Kovan Dilawer
  3. “Exam Invigilation Process for Research Assistants” by Dr. Thamir Ahmad
  4. “Human Resources Procedure (Personal Files, Leave Requests, Annual Leaves, Salaries, Working Hour Plicy…)” by Mr. Shkar Latif
  5. “Academic and Administrative Roles of Research Assistants” by Mr. Safwan Mawlud

The Orientation Program not only provided essential insights into the roles and expectations of research assistants but also served as a platform for networking and collaboration among colleagues from diverse academic backgrounds.

Completion letters will be distributed to all participants who attended more than 70% of the sessions.
